How Can You Tell That Today Was Too Cold To Work?
Answer: I am updating my blog again. For this installment, I decided to give you a rundown of all the gear I keep with me on a regular basis in the Second College Grant
The above image shows everything I keep in my backpack at all times during our daily surveying work. From top to bottom, left to right:
- Bug Spray
- Titanium Spork
- Head Lamp
- Casimir 36 Liter Backpack
- Fancy Ruler
- CB Radio; for communicating with loggers
- ESEE Candiru; small fixed blade knife
- Iodine Tablets; for water purification
- Victorinox Swiss Army Knife
- Sea to Summit "Wet" Bag; keeps my stuff organized in side of my backpack
- Emergency Cards; given to us by the College Forester, have important information in case of an emergency.
- Ray Ban New Wayfarers; Keep the sun out of my eyes
- Coffee Canister; used to store and keep TP dry
- Surveying Tape; marks where we leave our canoe
- Survival Kit; has more items than I could ever wish to have in any situation
- 1L Nalgene Bottle; currently seeing who supplies good stickers, and who does not
- Buff; keeps sun off of neck, and sometimes use it to keep bugs off head
- Trusty Lone Pine Baseball Hat
